Predicting accrual in clinical trials (created July 27, 2007)
This web page will summarize joint efforts of Steve Simon and Byron Gajewski to develop Bayesian predictive models for the accrual process in clinical trials. The models will help researchers to plan their clinical trials more effectively and monitor those trials on an on-going basis. The monitoring tools will allow researchers to recognize quickly when a clinical trial is falling behind schedule so they can take appropriate corrective actions.
As our work progresses, we will add additional material to this page.
- JSM 2007 poster presentation (PDF file, last updated July 23, 2007)
- Bibliography of papers relating to predicting accrual in clinical trials (last updated July 28, 2007)
- Program code (text file, last updated July 28, 2007)
Other material, more preliminary in nature, can be found on my weblog classified as Category: Accrual problems in clinical trials. This material describes work in progress and is not going to be as complete as the links shown above.
